Accessibility

This information applies to the website at www.ernst-systems.de and www.ernst-systems.com, including the landing page and waitlist for Orena and the legal pages. It follows the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG, Annex 3).

Our service

On this website we provide information about Orena, an AI assistant for the Mac with an app for the iPhone. Visitors can join the waitlist and contact us by email.

Legal framework

Ernst Systems is a micro-enterprise within the meaning of section 2 no. 17 BFSG. Under section 3 (3) BFSG, the accessibility requirements are not mandatory for micro-enterprises providing services. We nevertheless implement them voluntarily.

Accessibility status

The website is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, conformance level AA, and the European standard EN 301 549. On 23 September 2026 we checked all pages in German and English: automatically with the axe-core testing tool and manually with the keyboard, screen reader structure, 400 % zoom and contrast measurement. We fixed the issues we found.

How we meet the requirements

  • All content can be reached with the keyboard. A “Skip to content” link bypasses the menu.
  • Images have text alternatives. Purely decorative elements are hidden from screen readers.
  • Headings, navigation areas and form fields are clearly marked up and labelled.
  • Text has sufficient contrast against its background.
  • Pages can be zoomed to 400 % without loss of content or horizontal scrolling.
  • Anyone who selects “Reduce motion” in their system settings sees no animations. The ticker with the connected programs can be paused with a button, the circle of programs by click, tap or keyboard. The complete list of programs is also available as text for screen readers.
  • The section with the four steps is paged through step by step with the mouse wheel, swiping or the arrow keys. All four texts are also available to screen readers.
  • Notices and error messages in the waitlist form are also announced to screen readers.
  • The website is available in German and English, and the language is marked up for assistive technology.
  • The website sets no cookies. Visits are only counted with consent. The notice for this can be operated with keyboard and screen reader, and both answers are designed equally.

Known limitations

Headings appear with a short typing animation. Screen readers read out the full text straight away. The legal texts are available in English as a translation, the German version is binding.
